The Trooper offers a choice of manual transmission with 5-speed overdrive or electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, driver-selectable power mode, 3rd-gear winter start mode and adaptive shift pressure. It comes with a 3.5-liter V6, 24-valve dual overhead camshaft with direct-attack valve train, and a choice of a 215 hp @ 5400 rpm/ or 230 lb-ft @ 3000 rpm.
