Timing Chain
Function(English):Connects crankshaft sprocket and camshaft sprocket, transmits engine power from crankshaft to camshaft. It synchronizes the opening and closing of intake/exhaust valves with piston movement to keep accurate valve timing.
Timing Sprocket
Installed on the end of crankshaft and camshaft. Its teeth mesh tightly with timing chain to fix the transmission ratio between crankshaft and camshaft, keeping constant rotational speed matching and stable valve timing.
Timing Chain Tensioner
Absorbs chain slack caused by thermal expansion and component wear, keeps constant preload on timing chain to prevent chain vibration and tooth skipping, avoids valve timing disorder and valve-piston collision.
